The short version: TripperDash++ does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to us or to anyone else. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Your location never leaves your device except as network requests you initiate to Apple and OpenStreetMap to make the map and routing work.
Who we are
TripperDash++ ("the app") is an independent iOS application that streams turn-by-turn navigation to a Royal Enfield Tripper TFT dash. This policy explains how the app handles information.
Information the app uses
Location. The app uses your precise location to show your position on the map, follow your route, provide turn-by-turn and voice guidance, and keep navigation running while your screen is locked. Your location is processed on your device. It is used to request map tiles and routes (see below) but is never sent to any server operated by us, and it is never stored or shared for advertising or tracking.
Saved app data. Routes, favorites, recent destinations, your bike's Wi-Fi name, and your settings are stored locally on your device only. They are not uploaded anywhere.
Third-party services the app contacts
To function, the app makes network requests directly from your device to:
Apple Maps (MapKit) — for route calculation and place search. Handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
Open-Meteo — for weather along your route (no account, no personal identifiers).
OpenStreetMap Overpass — for speed-camera locations along your route.
These requests may include coordinates necessary to return the right map, route, or data for where you are. We do not operate these services and we do not receive a copy of these requests.
What we do not do
We do not run a backend server that receives your data.
We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.
We do not track you across apps or websites.
We do not sell or share your information.
Data retention & deletion
Because all app data lives only on your device, deleting the app removes it. You can also clear saved routes, favorites, and cached map tiles from within the app's settings.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
Changes to this policy
